World's Fastest Four-Door Car
Jaguar has published to the world of its recent video of record-breaking XE SV Project 8.
With a lap record of 7 minutes and 18.361 seconds, the XE SV Project 8 is definitely still the world’s fastest four-door car, beating its own time by 2.9 seconds. Driven by Belgian racing driver Vincent Radermecker, the car is of no track special and is a production-specced car. With the help of new Michelin Sport Cup 2 R tyres and the track rack, Radermecker manages to do better than its previous lap record. In addition, the car has few other adjustments, it had its adjustable suspension set to its track ride height, while the front splitter and rear wing set to their maximum downforce position for the record attempt. Thanks to its supercharged 5.0 liter V8, the 592bhp car can do a sprint in 3.3 seconds and hit a maximum speed of 320km/h.
